pete carlone music

live. acoustic. entertainment.

Pete started out as a drummer in a high school band (while attending Seoul International School) called The Substitutes. Goth and punk covers of The Cure, The Misfits, Transvision Vamp, The Primitives and a host of garage band original music were heard wafting from his parents' basement.

Once he arrived in Durham, NC to attend Duke University, he quickly made friends with the fraternity next door and joined the popular band, Faces in the Crowd as the drummer. Epic fraternity party chaos ensued. The band released a full length album as part of a student film project and managed to impress a number of unsuspecting sorority sisters.

After graduation, Pete relocated to Northern Virginia and started a band with a coworker, Ryan Downs, this time taking lead singer and rhythm guitarist duties. Crawling Home played the NoVA circuit for many years, released a full length original music album entitled "Pictures on the Wall", bought a band van and went through several iterations of bassists and drummers. The band received local radio play on DC101 and traveled from Philly to Chapel Hill in the band van.

Pete relocated to sunny Arizona in 2004 which triggered the end of Crawling Home. But, shortly after arriving in AZ, Pete befriended another local musician and they began performing as an acoustic duo called Clownfish. The duo had a steady stream of gigs in the greater Phoenix area and recorded a 3 song demo. Pete's partner moved back east, but Pete continued the gigs as a solo acoustic artist.

Now back in Northern Virginia again, this time in Leesburg, Pete is performing in the Loudoun County area, putting a laid back, acoustic spin on a variety of original and cover songs accumulated over his long musical history.

If you see Pete perform, you'll always leave the show in a good mood. If you are looking for a fun musical adventure, come see a Pete Carlone show.
